A New Band Approach

A New Approach to Teaching Band utilizes flipped classroom resource videos from DAY 1 of beginning band, continuing through more advanced band concepts such as enharmonics, whole vs. half steps and more. 

Flipped Classroom Resources allows for teachers to reinforce good techniques for instrument setup, proper embouchure and tonguing, counting and more. Teachers can put more of the learning into the hands of the students so that the classroom can be used for reinforcement. Students start from DAY 1 of band by making note name flashcards at home to reinforce the first octave of their individual instrument.
